She is a 2014 graduate receiving a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Kara received the national award for best hygienist at University and has made a point of maintaining those high standards of professional care with a gentle touch and a real knack for putting people at ease.

Kara spent three years working in children’s dentistry and built a reputation for providing crowns and white fillings, with the utmost care and comfort.

Kara is also passionate about continuing education and regularly attends lectures and meetings in New Zealand and internationally, involving all aspects of dental hygiene and children’s dentistry. She is an active member of the New Zealand Dental Hygiene Association, New Zealand Dental Oral Health Therapist Association, and the Waikato Dental Hygiene Association and she has established a mentoring and study group for hygienists in Hamilton.

At Dental Holistix, she is able to pursue a special interest in gum health and maintenance of dental implants and she is committed to providing the most current and effective treatment strategies available today.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys being a mother to her two little children, spending time with friends and family and shares a love of surfing and cycling with her husband.
