Transform your smile with veneers

Our cosmetic dentists are here to help you create a natural, beautiful and confident smile.

Getting ceramic veneers is easy

1. Scan & Go

We discuss your needs, take some intraoral visuals and complete an examination to ensure you are a suitable candidate for veneers.

2. Trial Smile

We have a digital preview of your ideal smile ready for you to look at. This appointment is your opportunity to ensure everything is in line with what you imagined.

3. Temporary veneers

A very small (wafer-thin) layer of your teeth is shaved off. A mould of your teeth is taken and sent off to our ceramist in his Auckland lab lab. We send you home with temporary veneers while the our ceramist crafts your custom veneers to perfection.

4. Permanent Veneers

Your new, custom ceramic veneers are ready and waiting for you when you arrive. After testing them on your teeth to make sure they fit well, we permanently bond your veneers to the front surface of your teeth. You’re now ready to show your new smile to the world!

Ceramic or composite?

At Dental Holistix, we recommend ceramic over composite veneers, as they are much more durable and aesthetically pleasing. Keep reading to better understand the two materials.

Composite veneers are made of the same composite resin that is used in tooth-coloured fillings. It takes just one or two visits for our dentists to shape and apply them to your teeth. This makes composite veneers an more affordable solution for those on a budget. The downside of composite veneers is that they are prone to wear and chipping and last only six to eight years on average.

Ceramic veneers are comprised of a high-quality, dental grade ceramic. They are custom-made by our ceramist in his Auckland lab, which means getting them takes around 4 appointments. However, the results are worth the wait! The translucent characteristic of ceramic is akin to that of tooth enamel, so you can be assured of a very natural look and feel. Ceramic veneers also maintain a high level of lustre, are stain resistant and can last significantly longer than composite veneers. When cared for, ceramic veneers can last 15-20 years. More than aesthetics

When thinking about dental veneers, the first thing that may come to mind is a picture-perfect, Hollywood smile; however, aesthetic value isn’t the only reason to consider veneers. Here are some non-cosmetic issues veneers can fix:

1) If you have gapped or unevenly spaced teeth that are difficult to clean, veneers can close the gaps and make it easier for you to brush and floss.

2) If you have cracked or chipped teeth, veneers can help provide reinforcement to make teeth stronger. Additionally, veneers can prevent further enamel erosion, and protect your teeth from wear and decay.

3) Veneers can be used to correct mild bite problems and help realign your jaw.

How do veneers Work ?

A little shaving

We remove a wafer-thin layer of surface enamel to help with bulkiness and to ensure your new veneers fit perfectly.

Applying your veneers

After shaving, we apply temporary veneers. Once your custom veneers are ready, we apply your permanent veneers.

Time to smile

It's time to get out there and enjoy the feeling a confident smile can bring.
